Registration for the United States Youth Volleyball League’s 2014 season will close at the end of the month including the chance to play with one of two programs held at Long Beach parks.<\/p>\n

\"USYVL\"The USYVL is a co-ed sports environment where children ages seven to 15 can play in a competitive eight-week league out of either Los Altos or Whaley parks. <\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the things that separates the USYVL from many other youth sports programs is the level of encouragement and \u2018fun\u2019 factor that we bring to the kids,\u201d said Randy Sapoznik, executive director of the USYVL. \u201cBecause of our inclusive, easy going environment, it\u2019s not uncommon to hear from parents who say this is the only sports program their child plays in.\u201d <\/p>\n

Kids of all skill levels are encouraged to sign up for the USYVL program, which utilizes proven curriculum to improve volleyball skills. Specialized equipment also advances the learning curve.<\/p>\n

Registration deadline is March 25 and the season runs from April 1 through June 7. <\/p>\n
