When you’ve got a big cross-town league match coming up, it can be easy to look ahead and lose focus on the mission at hand: not so for the Wilson Bruins boys’ water polo team, who took care of business on the road at Capistrano Valley today.<\/p>\n
The Bruins are ranked no. 3 in Division 2 CIF, and Capistrano Valley, while not ranked, is listed as “Also receiving votes,” which, coupled with their home pool advantage, meant they’d be a feisty foe. <\/span>But Wilson’s defense stepped up on Tuesday, shutting out their host 5-0 at halftime. <\/span>Capo Valley got a little more done in the second half, but Wilson won 9-7.
