–Long Beach State captured the seventh team national championship in school history, and also became the first team to defeat Pepperdine in sand volleyball history, as the 49ers avenged last year\u2019s title game loss.<\/p>\n

Defeated UC Davis, 2-0

Defeated UC Davis, 1-0 (8 innings)
–The 49ers swept UC Davis to wrap up conference play and clinched at least second-place in the Big West. Darian Tautalafua hit four RBI in game two, including two home runs, to break the single season RBI record at LBSU.<\/p>\n

–Long Beach State defeated LMU before being swept by No. 4 Cal State Fullerton.<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s Golf at Big West Conference Championship<\/strong>
–The 49ers concluded their season in fi fth-place (10 teams) at 30-over par (894). Senior Philip Chian led the way for LBSU tying for eighth at 5-over 221.<\/p>\n

Decathlon \u2013 Garrett Demirjian, 2nd (7,296 points)
Heptathlon \u2013 Taylor Jackson, 3rd (4,693 points); Wendy Izquierdo, 11th (4,249 points)
