Lost at #1 Pepperdine 4-1
Won vs. #6 UCLA 4-1
–Tyler Jackson and Janisa Johnson won again against Pepperdine, and are still undefeated
as a team during the 2013 season.<\/p>\n

Softball (27-17, 9-4 Big West)<\/strong>
def. Pacifi c 7-6 (8 innings)
lost to Pacifi c 5-4 (9 innings)
lost to Pacifi c 6-5
–Nalani St. Germain broke the school record for career home runs, but the 49ers
lost their fi rst conference series of the season.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s Golf at Black & Blue Rivalry Match<\/strong>
–LBSU defeats UC Irvine by fi ve shots at Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine.
–Senior Simone Hoey was the top player for both teams fi nishing at 1-over 72.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s Tennis (18-3, 8-1 Big West)<\/strong>
def. Cal Poly, 7-0
— Cal Poly forfeited in the 49ers\u2019 fi nal home match, giving LBSU the 7-0 victory and a
perfect home record this season (11-0).<\/p>\n

No. 9 Women\u2019s Water Polo (23-5, 4-2)<\/strong>
lost at No. 17 UC San Diego, 9-7
Won vs. No. 13 UC Santa Barbara 9-5
–Melissa Matheson, Justine Morgan, and Chelsea Parks led LBSU with two goals each
in a crucial victory over UC Santa Barbara, 9-5, to secure at least the fourth-seed in
the Big West Tournament.<\/p>\n

Baseball (15-18, 6-3 Big West)<\/strong>
Won vs. San Diego State 4-3
Won vs. UC Davis 9-2
Won vs. UC Davis 6-4
Won vs. UC Davis 7-2
–With four wins last week, Long Beach State improved to 14-8 while playing at Blair
Field this season, capturing their third series sweep in 2013 at home.<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s Volleyball (22-7, 18-6 MPSF)<\/strong>
Won vs. #10 Cal State Northridge, 3-0
–The 49ers closed out the regular season with their fi fth-straight win.<\/p>\n

–The 49er men won 10 events to claim their sixth-straight Big West Challenge Cup.<\/p>\n
