Won vs. #9 Nebraska 4-1
Lost vs. #1 Pepperdine 3-2
–Long Beach State nearly handed No. 1 Pepperdine their first loss in Sand Volleyball, falling 3-2 to the waves as Jackson\/Johnson and Minkel\/Neely both picked up victories.<\/p>\n

Softball<\/strong>
Fell to Colorado State in the final game of non-conference play and won two games at Cal Poly to win the opening series of Big West Play

Women\u2019s Basketball (16-16)
Lost to Utah, 56-49 (WNIT First Round)
–Sophomore Alex Sanchez had 13 points and six assists in the 49ers\u2019 first postseason appearance in 13 years.<\/p>\n

Women’s Tennis (13-3, 4-1 Big West)<\/strong>
Won vs. No. 74 Iowa, 5-2
Won vs. Wyoming, 5-2
–The 49ers remained perfect when playing at home (9-0) and seniors Klaudia Malenovska and Sarah Cantlay both went 4-0 during the week and are currently on a five-match winning streak in doubles play.<\/p>\n

No. 9 Women’s Water Polo (19-4, 0-2 Big West)<\/strong>
Lost at No. 6 San Diego State, 6-5
Won vs. Brown, 10-2
Won vs. Redlands, 11-2
–Christina Kotsia led the 49ers with six goals as LBSU nearly upset the sixth-ranked Aztecs Friday evening before taking down Brown and Redlands on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s Basketball (19-14)<\/strong>

–Kris Gulley led the team with 15 points, while James Ennis ended his career with his 38h-consecutive game in double-digit scoring (10).<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s Volleyball (17-7, 13-6 MPSF)<\/strong>
Won vs. #11 Cal Baptist, 3-2
Lost to #1 BYU, 3-0
–Junior Taylor Crabb averaged 3.88 kills per set last weekend and is just 17 away from becoming the 20th 49er to reach the 1,000-kill milestone.<\/p>\n
