Twelve former Jackrabbits will enter the Poly Football Hall of Fame in a ceremony on July 12th.  I had the pleasure of talking to eight of them, and I share some of their stories about the Poly tradition here<\/a>.  Also to be inducted in the class of 2009 are David Howard, Marvin Motley, Leonard Russell, and Willie McGinest.

Sam Cathcart shares some memories with his brother Royal and Jerry Jaso.  Sam met his wife Susan when they were both at Poly.  They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.<\/p>\n

Behind the eight inductees, the Poly cheer team practices some of the same songs these men used to hear from the field at Vet’s.<\/p>\n

The inductees pose with the Poly Boosters and current head coach Raul Lara.  Coach Lara is a former teammate of Dennis Price and Chuckie Miller.<\/p>\n

The inductees span almost 60 years of Poly history.  <\/p>\n

The inductees enjoyed each other’s company (and the Cavs-Magic game) for hours at the reception.<\/p>\n
