The Long Beach Armada are less than a week away from the season-opening series, and the team is using two scrimmages against the rival Orange County Flyers as their final tune-up. Manager Garry Templeton and his coaches will be making their final cuts after this upcoming week’s two games.<\/p>\n

Fans are welcome to come see either game and get a sneak-peek of the 2009 Armada squad:<\/p>\n

May 18<\/b> at 1 pm<\/span><\/p>\n

vs. Orange County Flyers (at Fullerton College)<\/p>\n

May 19<\/b> at 1 pm<\/span><\/p>\n

vs. Orange County Flyers (at Cal State Dominguez Hills)<\/p>\n

The Armada kicks off its 2009 season on the road May 21 with a 4-game series against the Calgary Vipers at Foothill Stadium. All games will be broadcast online via Teamline<\/b><\/a> live. <\/p>\n

The Armada opens at home on Friday, June 12 at 7:05pm against Yuma. Opening Night will feature a magnet schedule giveaway presented by DirectBuy of Long Beach as part of the St. Mary Medical Center Opening Weekend.<\/p>\n
