Everyone we’ve ever talked to who’s familiar with the inner workings of the once-great Belmont Plaza Pool warned us something like this could be on the horizon, but on Monday, the day before the pool was meant to host the first of a week-long slate of CIF prelim races, the pool…broke.<\/p>\n
To be more specific, the pump system that acts as the facility’s veins broke, rendering it useless for at least a day, as workers try to correct the problem. <\/span>Tuesday’s schedule of Division IV prelim races has been moved to the Mills Aquatic Facility at Mt. SAC. <\/span>If the pump system is functional by Tuesday, the rest of Belmont’s scheduled races will go on as planned—if not, they’ll all be relocated, either to Mt.
