From LBSU reports<\/span><\/p>\n The Stretch Run <\/b><\/p>\n Long Beach State closes out Big West play this weekend with two matches. First the team will play UC Irvine Thursday night, followed by UC Santa Barbara on Saturday. Finally, the team closes out the regular season by hosting No. 2 USC on Sunday.<\/p>\n Conference Play <\/b><\/p>\n Long Beach State, in its first season in the Big West for Water Polo, picked up a win in the first game ever for the 49ers against Pacific. The 49ers dominated the Tigers on the road, winning 10-4, but lost their next two league games by a total of three goals.<\/p>\n Celebrate The Season <\/b><\/p>\n Long Beach State’s postseason banquet is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29th at The Grand. The team will be honored along with the 2008-09 seniors.
