The Millikan Athletics spaghetti dinner and silent auction is set for this Tuesday, March 31st<\/sup>, at 6pm. <\/span>The school is trying to raise money for gym improvements, and the creation of their Hall of Fame, both worthy endeavors. <\/span>It’s a cheap ticket to get in (under ten dollars), and you’ll get to rub elbows with some of Long Beach’s finest as they gather to support the Rams.<\/p>\n Up for auction are a score of baskets and gift certificates, as well as cool memorabilia like a Kobe Bryant jersey, golf twosomes and foursomes at local courses, Angels tickets, and a signed Johnny Depp photo (Millikan athletic director Gayle Braun suggested to me I’d be better off not investigating how she came about that last item, and I’m going to take her word for it!). <\/p>\n There’s also ritzier items like a stay at the Ritz Carlton in Maui, a Vegas vacation, and a really cool item, a signed and framed picture of the 2008 Olympic Water Polo team, no doubt provided by 2008 Olympian and Millikan grad Ryan Bailey. <\/span>Good luck to Millikan, and get out to enjoy to that dinner—even if you’re not going to buy anything, it’ll be good, cheap spaghetti and a fun evening.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
