A few weeks ago, the Wilson boys’ soccer team closed their ’08-’09 campaign with a banquet, where awards were handed out, seniors were recognized, and the accomplishments of a successful season were remembered.<\/p>\n

A highlight video put together by player Mohan Singhal was played (with some LB Post footage, of course), and Singhal added in some AYSO shots of the 14 seniors to boot.  <\/span>Perhaps the coolest banquet tradition is the performance of a team’s pre-game chant, with no opponent to intimidate—the Wilson boys did theirs for their friends and family.  <\/span>After the banquet was done, and the ties loosened, the players stayed after to sign each other’s media guides and reminisce, a sign of solidarity, and a sign of a season well-done.<\/p>\n
