From LBSU reports<\/span><\/p>\n Long Beach State’s women’s tennis team dropped a 6-1 match against the 42-ranked Denver Pioneers on Saturday, ending a busy week in which the 49ers played three games in four days.<\/p>\n LBSU started the day well up top as Hannah Grady and Jessica Weeks picked up a win at No. 1 singles over Iwinski\/Voelker 8-5. However, the 49ers dropped the other two doubles matches 8-2 to lose the point.<\/p>\n The 49ers did not fare much better in singles. Rachel Manasse fought back from a first set loss against Ute Schnoy to pick up a win at No. 3 singles 6-7, 6-3, 6-1. The remainder of the team lost in singles, leading to the 6-1 setback.<\/p>\n Long Beach State finishes the home regular season next week, hosting two matches.
