The LBCC Vikings improved to 8-1 (2-0 in the WSC) after their victory over visiting Santa Barbara City College on Friday night. <\/span>Seven of those wins, including the one last night, came in three-set sweeps—in other words, if you want to watch a Long Beach team win, and you don’t want to spend too much time doing it, this is your squad.<\/p>\n Long Beach cruised to 30-21, 30-24 wins in games one and two before the Viking reserves had a little more difficult time putting away Santa Barbara (4-5, 0-2 WSC) 30-28 in game three. Sophomore right side Chuck Chamberlain led the Vikings with 11 kills and added two blocks.
