As of yesterday at 10am, tickets for the 2009 Big West Basketball Tournament are officially on sale. <\/span>Why are we telling you about the opportunity to buy tickets for an event not being held until March 11-14? <\/span>Because this season’s Big West tourney is shaping up to be a memorable one, with almost every team having as good a shot as any other, and what we hope will be a third rematch between Long Beach State and Fullerton (the last two meetings this season were decided by a combined two points). <\/span>Interested fans can purchase tickets through the Anaheim Convention Center Arena Box Office (714-765-8980) or through the Ticketmaster website. <\/span>Fans can also purchase All-Session tickets, student tickets and first game vouchers through each school’s individual box office. <\/span>The tournament will be held at The Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center.<\/p>\n Tickets for the event range from $20-$25 general admission seats for the women’s tournament games and $25-$35 for general admission and reserved seating for the men’s tournament games. <\/span>Youth tickets to any session are $10 with a valid student I.D. or when accompanied by an adult. <\/span>Big West students can purchase a ticket to any session for $8 with a valid student I.D.<\/p>\n Break the Basketball Attendance Record Night is Friday, March 13 during the men’s semifinal session. <\/span>The Big West is attempting to break the Anaheim Convention Center Arena’s current basketball attendance record of 7,578 set on January 22, 1986 during a Harlem Globetrotters game. <\/span>This is the ninth consecutive year that the Big West Basketball Tournament will be held at the Anaheim arena.<\/p>\n
