Long Beach State’s Hannah Grady was named the Big West Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 11-Feb. 18, just after the school announced she was its all-time singles win-leader. Grady helped the 49ers defeat San Diego State on the road, downing a ranked opponent.<\/p>\n

Grady took control in her only match of the week, dispatching #93 Julia Trunk of San Diego State 7-5, 6-1 after battling through a close first set at No. 1 singles. In doubles, Grady was also ahead prior to the remainder of the three doubles matches being rained out.<\/p>\n
The 49ers make their Big West debut this Friday, when the 49ers host Cal State Northridge at 2pm, and then continue conference action on the road with a rescheduled match against Cal State Fullerton at 10am on the road.<\/p>\n
