From reports by LBSU’s Andrea Ohta<\/span><\/p>\n Junior Lauren Sims (Fullerton, CA) has been named to the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII women’s basketball second team the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday. <\/p>\n Sims, who boasts a 4.0 cumulative grade-point average in biology, earned academic All-Big West honors as a sophomore last year. <\/p>\n The 5-foot-9 guard is currently second on the team with 24 3-pointers made and fifth in scoring with 7.3 points per contest. Sims has posted six double-figure scoring games this season, including a career-high 22 points at Cal State Northridge.
