The Long Beach City College women’s basketball team lost to visiting Los Angeles Valley College by a final score of 66-39 in a non-conference game at the Hall of Champions Gym on Saturday night. <\/span>The loss dropped the Vikings to 1-7 overall on the season while L.A. Valley improved to 3-6.<\/span><\/p>\n Long Beach trailed by 11 points at halftime (31-20) and was outscored 35-19 in the second. Turnovers by the Vikings were costly, as L.A. Valley scored 26 points off of 23 Long Beach turnovers. <\/span>Freshman guard Aysha Lyons led the Vikings with nine points and added eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Sophomore Cristina Lajkowicz chipped in with nine rebounds and seven points.<\/span><\/p>\n L.A.
