Ranked 3rd<\/sup> and 5th<\/sup> in the state, respectively, the LBCC men’s and women’s water polo teams were both expected to perform well at this weekend’s South Coast Conference tournament, held at Pasadena City College. <\/span>Both teams lived up to expectations.<\/span><\/p>\n After blasting low-ranked Chaffey in the first round on Thursday, by a score of 23-6, the Vikings advanced to the conference title match, where they faced Mt. SAC. <\/span>The teams had played recently, in the final SCC game of the regular season, the Vikings had won 10-8 to finish the season undefeated in conference play. <\/span>The result flipped on Saturday, though, as Mt. SAC got their revenge, defeating Chris Oeding’s Vikings by a score of 9-7, giving Mt.
