This Monday (and every following Monday) I got to participate in the time-honored sportswriter tradition of “polling.” <\/span>That means I voted in the CIF’s poll of the top ten teams in the Pac-5 division (which the Moore League falls under), based on who I thought was best. <\/span>Here’s how the poll shook down:<\/span><\/p>\n 1. Long Beach Poly<\/span><\/p>\n 2. Crespi<\/span><\/p>\n 3. Edison<\/span><\/p>\n 4. Mission Viejo<\/span><\/p>\n 5. Mater Dei<\/span><\/p>\n 6. Orange Lutherna<\/span><\/p>\n 7. Servite<\/span><\/p>\n 8. Los Alamitos<\/span><\/p>\n 9. Notre Dame\/SO<\/span><\/p>\n 10. St. John Bosco<\/span><\/p>\n Now, it’s no surprise that Poly is at the top of the list—after all, MaxPreps now has Poly as the number one team in the nation. <\/span>But with the way Lakewood, Jordan, and Compton are playing I’m surprised they didn’t jump up—I’m confident all of those teams could beat Bosco, at the very least. <\/span>Anyway, for better or worse, there they are—I’ll be putting these rankings up on Mondays from now on, when we get them in. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" It’s the first time we’re running this new weekly feature, the top 10 CIF teams in our division.
