Long Beach State point guard Casper Ware continued his campaign for 2010-11 Big West Conference Player of the Year in a big road win over the UC Davis Aggies on Thursday night, scoring 23 points on 7-7 shooting from the field to bring the 49ers to a 9-2 conference record with the 93-69 victory.<\/p>\n
Ware made four 3-pointers, handed out seven assists and five steals as four other Long Beach players scored in double figures and the team shot a whopping 64% from the field. Forward T.J. Robinson returned to his sharp form with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while frontcourt mate Eugene Phelps added 11 and 9.<\/p>\n
It was the first game in twelve days for the 49ers, who hold a commanding lead over the rest of the conference field heading down the stretch toward the upcoming Big West Tournament.<\/p>\n
