Coaches and educators at Millikan High School in Long Beach have sent out invitations to a very special event tomorrow night, a wine tasting fundraiser in honor of Jalen Thayer, a freshman and brain cancer patient undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatments.<\/p>\n

Thayer is the son of a Millikan teacher, Lance Thayer, and was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2009. After extensive chemo treatments this summer, Jalen is being home schooled this year.<\/p>\n

But the Ram family is strong, as the Lady Rams Basketball Boosters and head coach Lorene Morgan are hosting the Jalen Thayer Fundraiser Wine Tasting Event on Thursday, December 2 from 5:30-8:30pm at Gary King Wines in Los Alamitos. Gary King Wines is located at 3379 Cerritos Avenue in Los Alamitos.<\/p>\n
