Southern California firefighters can now get into The Queen Mary’s all-new CHILL attraction for free in appreciation of their efforts in fighting the recent California fires, the Queen Mary and its leaseholder, Urban Commons, announced last week.
Urban Commons, the leaseholder of the Queen Mary, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Goldenvoice, the creators of Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival and Stagecoach: California’s Country Music Fest.
Some of the West Coast’s most accomplished pitmasters are coming together with their best Texas slow-cooked hickory barbecue, southern Memphis-style barbecue and other barbecue styles across the country at the Queen Mary’s sixth annual West Coast BBQ Classic.
The Queen Mary finally has a successor lessee, after the Long Beach City Council voted Tuesday night to end a years-long process and approve a contract with Urban Commons LLC for the ship and its surrounding property.
