In this version, a company of actors is rehearsing “Cyrano de Bergerac” but often breaking out of character to improvise in everyday language when the script overlaps with their modern lives.

Anita W. Harris has reviewed theater in and around Long Beach for the past eight years. She believes theater is a creative space where words and stories become reality through being spoken, enacted, felt and lived. She is a member of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle and won 3rd place for theater criticism in 2023 and 2024 in the Los Angeles Press Club's Journalism Awards.
