If you haven’t heard, Sala Coffee & Wine Bar in Bixby Knolls isn’t having the best start to the year.
On Monday night, a two-car crash sent a Tesla tumbling through one of its walls.
In an online fundraiser, a chef connected with the business wrote that the city “deemed Sala inoperable at this time until permits, repairs, and all inspections have been finalized and approved.”
The fundraiser is hoping to raise $20,000 for “uninsured and indirect impacts of the closure” such as payroll support for staff, rent and utilities, outstanding invoices and operational costs associated with reopening.
As of midday Thursday, the fundraiser had more than $9,200.
