If you find yourself with extra free time this month and are looking for some cardio, I have good news for you: Planet Books needs help with their move.
The used bookstore in Signal Hill is moving locations for the second time since it opened in 1998.
Its new home will be at 1819 Redondo Ave., but the store’s owner told us that volunteers are welcome to stop by the old store location at 1855 Freeman Ave. any day between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to help them pack up their countless paperbacks, magazines and memorabilia.
Planet Books’ new location will allow for better seating, wider aisles and couches for patrons to read, sip coffee or listen to live music.
If you want a sneak peek, hit them up to help at 562-985-3154.
