There’s about to be a whole new food scene in Long Beach. Starting in June, residents can apply to prepare and sell meals out of their home kitchen.
The business license and health permit cost roughly $1,500 in total, but that pales in comparison to opening a food truck ($100,000) or a brick-and-mortar restaurant ($475,000).
It’s a long-awaited program in Long Beach. Los Angeles County has allowed it since 2024.
