“We are asking artists to portray and aspect of Long Beach that is important to them.”

The exhibition will be available for viewing beginning Nov. 7 through Dec. 5.
The deadline to submit is Sept. 24.
The gallery will be available for viewing July 10 until August 14 at the LBCG/Rod Briggs Gallery at 2221 E. Broadway.
The Long Beach Creative Group gallery is seeking local artists of any discipline to submit their art for their upcoming exhibition, “Coming Together: An Exhibition of Small Works.”
The works that were selected touch on a number of ecological concepts, including air and water pollution, the use of renewable energy and the effects of climate change.
With “Couriers of Hope” LBUSD students will get to trade their own hope-inspired envelope art for the artists original pieces.
“Rod Briggs: Retrospective” will be available for scheduled weekend showings Jan. 16 through Feb. 6.
“The title was prompted by the idea that if we don’t write our own histories, they will be written for us,” said curator Gloria Sanchez.
A new collaborative project in downtown Long Beach will enable local artists to show their work in a professional gallery setting.
