Those looking to celebrate New Year’s Eve in and around downtown Long Beach can look forward to a free family-friendly event at Rainbow Harbor or a ticketed celebration aboard the Queen Mary.
In place of the irreplaceable artist, the high-energy, Birmingham, Alabama-based St. Paul and the Broken Bones will co-headline the New Year’s Eve Celebration alongside Citizen Cope.

On Wednesday, December 31, Hamburger Mary’s (the best place to have a laugh in Long Beach, according to our readers), is offering bottle service and dinner reservations for those planning on braving the hustle and bustle of Downtown Long Beach on NYE.
The Federal Bar has gone ska for the New Year and will showcase The Untouchables, Perro Bravo, PMA and the Green Machines on Sunday, January 11 at 8:00PM. Jerry Miller, the last remaining member of the original band, talks about why The Untouchables are still going strong today.
Three blocks will be closed for a celebration that will feature LA-based indie-pop group Fitz and the Tantrums and a 10-minute fireworks show.
