Coming off the heels of Christmas, family gatherings, holiday vacation time spent lounging in pajamas and hosting all of the above in your home, sometimes the best New Year’s Eve celebrations are spent dressing up and dining out.

If you’re looking for a place in Long Beach to clink the new year in with a glass of bubbly — and perhaps a multi-course meal — there are several restaurants offering curated evenings.

We’ve put together a list of some of the eateries in town, but you’d better make reservations soon, 2024 will be here in the blink of an eye.

Louie’s on 2nd

Louie’s on 2nd is offering a six-course prix fixe menu for $85 per person with the option of a wine pairing for an additional $40. Menu highlights include a miso sea bass course, braised short rib or seared Scottish salmon and creme brûlée. Reservations are available from 5 to 10 p.m. Dec. 31.

Saint & Second

Saint & Second will offer a “best of” collection of dishes off its regular menu and also have a special menu for the night. Reservations up to five people can be made on the restaurant’s website, but larger parties and private dining experiences with a prix fixe menu (set menu) must be made by phone. The restaurant will stay open until midnight on Dec. 31.

Michael’s on Naples

Italian restaurant Michael’s on Naples will offer a tasting menu from Chef Eric Samaniego for $125 per person with the option of a wine pairing for an additional $60. It will be the only menu available for the night. Menu highlights include thinly sliced Spanish octopus with balsamico sorbet, fried basil, and Sicilian olive oil and antelope loin with braised endive, roasted mushrooms and crispy shallots.

Reservations are available from 5 to 10 p.m. Guests will also receive a champagne toast at midnight.

555 East

555 East will host a New Year’s Eve celebration and guests are encouraged to wear their finest attire for a midnight champagne toast and an in-house photo booth. The four-course prix fixe menu has not been revealed yet, but will be priced at $135 per person with the option of a $50 wine pairing.

BO-beau Kitchen + Roof Tap

BO-beau Kitchen + Roof Tap will offer a three-course prix fixe dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. starting at $69.95 per person with the option to upgrade menu items. Menu highlights include baked whipped brie with bacon jam, caramelized onions and steak frites. The full menu can be found here.

Cafe Sevilla

Cafe Sevilla is offering a New Year’s Eve Tapas Bar Table Package. Packages range from $150 to $450 depending on the number of guests and include reserved table seating until 2 a.m., a special menu and drinks, party favors, a midnight champagne toast and more. More information can be found here.

Queen Mary

The Queen Mary back in action with a pre-New Year’s Eve bash. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 30 with a cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres. Guests are invited to wear period attire for a four-course meal and dance the night away afterward with Alex Mendham and his orchestra.

Tickets are $199 per person and include everything we just described.
