Officers from the Long Beach Police Department were dispatched to the area of Linden Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway Tuesday night regarding a call that shots had been fired, resulting in the death of an adult male.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man lying in the street who had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body. Paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department tended to the victim, and he was determined to be deceased at the scene.
A motive has not been determined at this time, and the LBPD is asking anyone who may have information on the victim’s whereabouts and who he was with prior to the shooting strongly urged to contact Long Beach Police Homicide Detectives Terri Hubert or Mark Bigel at (562) 570-7244.
