Two men were stabbed and one other was injured during a fight early Sunday morning at a bar in Downtown Long Beach, according to authorities.

Officers responded to the stabbing around 12:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Pine Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

A spokesperson for the department declined to give the name or address of the specific bar because the crimes did not occur inside the establishment.

At the scene, officers found a security guard and bar patron with stab wounds to the upper body, along with another man that had also been injured in the fight, police said. Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene and transported the men to a local hospital for treatment, police said, adding that their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police say the three men were involved in an argument with an unknown number of other men at the bar when a fight broke out between them. At some point, the fight escalated into a stabbing, police said.

No arrests were made as the suspects fled the scene before officers arrived at the scene. No suspect information is available, and the motive for the stabbing is unknown, police said.
