1:58pm | Tuesday, 34-year-old Antwan Johnson of Rancho Cucamonga was the victim of a stabbing in the 400 block of West Anaheim Street. This morning, he died as a result of his injuries.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the victim was walking down the street with a female companion when he was confronted by a group of 3 male Hispanic subjects in their 20’s who proceeded to assault him. During the attack, the victim was stabbed with an unknown object before the suspects fled on foot.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and listed in critical condition. At approximately 4:15am today, Johnson was pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the incident. Detectives do not believe the victim was a gang-member; however they are investigating this as a gang-related incident and the investigation remains ongoing.
