The people who died while experiencing homelessness in Long Beach were remembered in an interfaith memorial service Friday night at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Bixby Knolls.
The service is organized by the Long Beach Homeless Coalition and is meant to assert the fundamental dignity of all people who are experiencing homelessness and poverty, according to a press release from the city.
