A 63 year-old woman remains in the ICU with a broken hip and rib after she was hit by van while riding her bike last week at the intersection of Anaheim St. and Alamitos Ave.

The victim, who is not being identified, was riding near the area at about 10AM on Monday, November 5 when police say she was struck by a dark-colored van with an unknown license plate that was traveling southbound on Alamitos Ave. The victim’s son told the Post that witnesses said his mother was not only hit, but run over by the vehicle, which fled the scene before police arrived.

“The witness told us that she was under the car,” he said in an email. “The driver backed up the car drove off…She was just doing her morning exercise.”

The driver remains outstanding.
