A motorcyclist was killed today in a crash on the eastbound 91 Freeway in the Compton area.

The crash occurred about 6:40 a.m. near Wilmington Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured person.

Three eastbound lanes were blocked while an investigation was conducted.
