They say there are two sides to every issue. I find that this is only true in boxing matches and presidential debates. Issues that involve the human condition are never flat like a two-sided slate; they are more like diamonds with many facets.

It is easy to get on a soapbox and spout off one’s own opinion. I try to avoid doing that. What I try to do is to look at many sides and my priority is to give a voice to one that has been silent. Historically, members of groups without power and those bearing stigmas have been without a voice. Sometimes their silence is because of fear of retaliation, and sometimes it is because their point of view is simply not valued or sought out. There so many unique ideas that have never been heard. My goal to seek them out, give them a voice and create a symphony.
