It’s easy to talk about “going green,” but putting the rhetoric into practice can be difficult. What exactly are the best ways to live a sustainable lifestyle? Is it even worth the trouble? Well, those questions and more will be answered this weekend at the second annual Long Beach Solar and Sustainability Conference and Tour held at the El Dorado Senior Center. The event will begin at 9:00am and end at 4:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
Among the attractions will be tours of nearby sustainable homes, speeches from a host of experts, and efficient vehicles that include a Mercedes fueled by vegetable oil, an electric motorcycle, and – the hot topic in Long Beach these days – a Tesla Roadster.
