Last week in North Long Beach, a prudent neighbor noticed two people knocking on the door of a residence where he knew no one was home. Suspicious, he called the Long Beach Police Department, eventually leading to a single arrest and the returning of stolen items.

The incident began Wednesday, January 9 at 7:45AM in the area of 68th St. and Lemon Ave. when the neighbor reported the suspicious individuals.

LBPD arrived on scene after the two initial suspects had fled, however responding officers observed two subjects matching the description in an alley and set up a perimeter. With additional information from the caller, officers found a third suspect—a 17-year-old female from Long Beach—and a vehicle filled with most of the lost items, which were returned to the victim.

The two other suspects remain outstanding while the investigation continues. Police are asking residents in the surrounding neighborhoods to come forward if they have been victims of an unreported theft or residential burglary.
