A man who was killed when a vehicle overturned and caught fire on the 710 Freeway in Long Beach over the weekend was a 26-year-old resident of the city, authorities said Monday.

Juan Lopez Jr. died at scene of the crash, which occurred about 2:30 a.m. Sunday on the southbound 710 Freeway at Willow Street, according to the coroner’s office and the California Highway Patrol.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
