Alliteration aside, people and places go hand in hand: you need one to have the other in the broader picture of urban life. People provide a sense of pride to a place and places provide a sense of humanity to people. Whether it be escapism or activism, we want you to show off the best of Long Beach’s population and spaces.

• They create events and clean up our streets. They hold meetings and generate donations. They grab the attention of the powers-that-be and try to hand back that power to their neighbor—and for most, this is just their side gig in addition to their 9-to-5. Best Tourist Attraction

• The family is in town and the only thing they know about Long Beach is that Snoop Dogg was from here. Where do you take them to show off Long Beach’s touristy side?

• On Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube, blogs, podcasts, livestreams and local websites, Long Beachers are more than ever using social media to share their lives and our city. Who do you think is putting Long Beach on the virtual map?
