10:45am | Best Start Central Long Beach is set to host a community meeting next Thursday, April 14, regarding ensuring that children ages zero to 5 in Central Long Beach grow up safe, happy and healthy.
The meetings will be held at St. Mary Medical Center in the Parr Health Enhancement Center, 1050 Linden Ave., from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Registration and refreshments will run from 4 to 4:30 p.m., with the meeting to follow at 4:30 p.m..
Best Start focuses First 5 LA funds on specific goals in Central Long Beach and 13 other specific communities in Los Angeles County to improve the lives of children.
The event is free and open to the community, though reservations are required no later than Monday, April 11. Reservations can be made by sending an e-mail to [email protected] or by calling 213-482-9426.
