10:30am | Proceeds from the inaugural Tour of Long Beach raised $60,000 for the Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach over the weekend, after more than 1,030 riders participated in the 30-mile ride on Saturday morning. Individual and team fundraising efforts will support patients and families of the hospital.
Current city biking ambassador and former professional rider Tony Cruz and Mayor Bob Foster presented a large check to Dr. Jerry Finklestein, medical director of the Jonathon Jacques Children’s Cancer Center (JJCCC) just before the ride began.
