Man found dead in Shoreline Village marina had drowned, authorities say
Authorities say the death of a man who was found earlier this month off of Shoreline Village was an accident. Medical examiners determined he drowned, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
The man’s body was found in the water around 6 a.m. on Oct. 3, according to police, who said homicide detectives responded to the scene but noted there weren’t any obvious signs of trauma.
Authorities identified the man as Billy Turner. He was 39-years old and homeless, coroner’s officials said.
