A boy was stabbed by a man Friday evening while at a bus stop near Wilson High School, police said.
Long Beach Police Department Lt. Curtis Yee said officers responded around 5:38 p.m. to the 4400 block of East 10th Street, just off Ximeno Avenue, after reports of a stabbing. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a boy who had been stabbed in the upper body.
Police said the boy was at a bus stop near Wilson High School when a man approached him and stabbed him. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital by his parent with non-life-threatening injuries, Yee said. Police did not say whether the boy or the man were students at the high school.
Police said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
