10:11am | The federal government spends hundreds of billions of dollars annually buying products and services from small businesses. Is your firm one of them?

According to the latest tips from the Los Angeles Regional Small Business Development Center, which is housed at Long Beach City College, a few pointers can help a business capitalize on these.

The center, which periodically releases 10 tips for small businesses, recently issued its Top 10 list to “breaking into the lucrative world of government contracting.”

The tips, which include insight on to where to find a list of agencies, advises small businesses to get registered by getting a Data Universal Number System, and to learn the basics by visiting sites like acquisition.gov/far, which explains the rules regulating government buyers and sellers.
