More than 750 surf, skate, streetwear and lifestyle brands set up camp at the Long Beach Convention Center this Wednesday and Thursday for the fashion trade show well-known to industry insiders as Agenda.

Small and large companies alike came in ready to promote their latest items to retailers and buyers, such as Finish Line, Nordstrom, Modcloth, Nasty Gal, Pacsun, Tilly’s, Urban Outfitters and Zumiez.

A handful of Long Beach-based companies like Yellow 108 and Rastaclat also made their way to the convention center floor.

For Yellow 108, this was the first time the headwear and accessories brand made an appearance at the trade show. The Long Beach Boulevard-based boutique sells rustic-colored fedoras, caps and beanies, and accessories such as scarves, sunglasses and cutlery.

Agenda veteran Rastaclat, originally known for its African-inspired bracelets woven from high-quality shoelaces, was on hand once again, promoting its new collaboration with Jeff Staple as well as its new junior series.

There was no lack of innovative products at the show, like Jelly Skateboards and BLOCK Risers—a collaboration between two companies resulting in the creation of a skateboard featuring a clear, flexible deck made of bulletproof glass, and 3d-printed modular riser pads with that can mount a GoPro, lights, or be used as storage space.

Risers are inserted between the trucks and deck to raise the height of the skateboard. According to representatives, 50 percent of the proceeds from the collaboration will go to the Life Rolls On Foundation.

Environmentally-conscious products, like recycled aircraft-grade aluminum decks made by Aluminati Skateboards and Beercan Boards‘ longboards made out of extruded recycled aluminum and recycled plastic accessories also had a strong showing at this year’s event.
