The Belmont Shore Business Association (BSBA) plans to bring more attention to independent local businesses by building its first-ever Pop-Up Shoppe, which will be located in the Chase Bank parking lot at 5200 E. 2nd St. Belmont Shore’s Pop-Up Shoppe & Sidewalk Sale is on Saturday, July 26 from 11:00AM to 4:00PM, while The Belmont Shore Sidewalk Sale is on Saturday and Sunday, July 26 and 27 at the same times and will be featuring up to 50 stores.
Pop-up shops are temporary retail spaces that are great for new businesses trying to gain momentum or established businesses trying out new ideas. They inspire creativity when it comes to building in small and/or temporary spaces and can be a useful test for specific products. According to the BSBA, the seven merchants featured will include Bayshore Boutique, Born Free, Elison Rd., Blue Windows, Kimberly’s, La Bella and Sway.
Attendees can enter to win a Shore Surprise Package by visiting participating stores, filling out a game card and collecting at least ten stamps. Click here for a list of all participating businesses.
