The Port of Long Beach (POLB) will be hosting the first of two Master Plan update workshops on Wednesday, April 4 at the Homeland Cultural Center, the port announced.

Attendees can help shape future development during the “Let’s Talk Port” community forum, which will focus on updates to the plan.

An update to the Port Master Plan, which guides development and land uses, is needed to incorporate years of plan amendments and changes in the global shipping industry, technological advances and factors including climate change and energy resources, in line with Green Port Policy objectives, according to the POLB.

The workshop will begin at 6:00PM with an open house when attendees can speak one-on-one with port staff and consultants, followed by a presentation at 6:30PM and an interactive feedback activity for participants to provide their input. A variety of port displays will also be featured, and light refreshments will be served.

Homeland Cultural Center is located at 1321 East Anaheim Street.
