Forever 21 will open its Long Beach location this Saturday at 10:00AM at The Pike Outlets, its Facebook page announced, while Converse is expected to open its store on August 27, the Downtown Long Beach Associates announced. The opening follows H&M’s Grand opening in June, attended by hundreds of individuals.
According to the event page, the first 100 people in line for Forever 21’s grand opening on August 15 will receive a free $10 gift card, while the first 300 people in line will receive $5 off a purchase of $25 or more.
As of 11:20AM Monday, 99 Facebook guests had RSVP’d as attending.
When discussing the new Pike Outlets in a previous story about the H&M Grand Opening, a Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) post said Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal credited the current Restoration Hardware expansion with spearheading redevelopment of The Pike by “taking a risk as the first major retail tenant” of The Pike.
The new space is expected to be completed later this year, according to the DLBA. More information about Converse’s grand opening will be posted as additional details emerge.
