Following the decision to turn the famed Hof’s Hut at
{FG_GEOMAP [33.7580102,-118.1111383] FG_GEOMAP}
into a Lucille’s BBQ, owners at the Hofman Hospitality Group have decided to close the nearby Lucille’s location in Belmont Shore.
“It is closing because of the proximity to the new one being built at the Marina,” said Hofman representative Erin Peacock.
According to Peacock, all Belmont Shore employees will be transferred to the Marina location when it opens in spring of 2014. As for a precise date as to when the Shore location will close or what Hofman will do the property on a busy Belmont Shore corner, which they own, Peacock was unsure.
“We don’t know what we’ll do with the property,” Peacock said. “And that’s me being entirely honest and factual. As with all major business alterations, things take time.”
The Lucille’s on Second St. was formerly a Hof’s Hut location as well.
